Rakul Preet Singh, who essayed the role of late actor Sridevi in yesteryear actor and politician NT Rama Rao's biopic, Kathanayakudu, opened up about what all went on during the filming and her preparation for the same. Clarifying that it was a "special appearance" in the movie, Rakul shared that there was obviously a little added pressure. "It's a small part, but having said that, even if I get to recreate her in a scene, it's amazing. And of course, there is a lot of expectations and people would compare. Also, she was the first ever female superstar, so she is legendary, and I know I can not be her. I'm not here, but I'm trying to give you a better idea of how to do it.
Asked about her preparation, Rakul shared that she watched a lot of her movies, right from the time Sridevi made her debut. She said, "We have recreated a song in the movie, so it's not too much. It's not very important because it's NTR biopic and not Sridevi Ji's. But the director had a few inferences and we had two days of look to get it right and I just hope people like it. "
