EXCLUSIVE | Indra Kumar talks about Hera Pheri 3 & 1965
After the success of Double Dhamaal in 2011, veteran filmmaker Indra Kumar had a bad time with the disastrous performance of Nano and . Grand Grand Masti which was leaked online several weeks before publication. This year, he made his comeback with Total Dhamaal and the film was a huge hit at the box office. The film has already made more than 140 crores of rupees at the domestic counter and more than 50 crores of rupees at the box office overseas.
Last year, while Indra Kumar was shooting for Total Dhamaal, he was appointed director of the film Hera Pheri 3 . Indeed, in an interview with Indian Express, he had even confirmed that he would direct the third part of the franchise and was eager to lead the iconic trio composed of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. During the conversation, Indra Kumar also revealed that he was not on Twitter and that the person who shared the news of the direction of the film was an imposter. When asked again to confirm when he was on board for Hera Pheri 3, he replied,

On the question of, if he has already been approached to direct Hera Pheri 3, he came back,
I was approached (to direct the film) he 6 months ago, after all … I do not know what's going on. Someone says, "It's done." Someone says, "It's not." At this moment I am confused. I do not know what's going on. You discover it and tell me (laughs).
He then added,
Let's see if this happens tomorrow, it could happen. I do not know. For the moment, there is no confirmation on this subject.
