This week's WWE Monday Night Raw was held at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This will be the first show after the Fastlane PPV that took place on Sunday. While WWE is trying to build on WrestleMania, there will be a lot of brawls going on. WWE announced a match between Triple H and Batista and a match for the Intercontinental title between Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor. Let's look at everything that happened to Raw:
Shield launches Raw- It was announced that the shield would deliver its last speech. Roman Reigns explained how everyone will now take their own path. He then announced that he was going to play his first singles match in 5 months the same night on Raw.
Paul Heyman interrupts Seth Rollins – Rollins explained that Lesnar had problems with faster wrestlers like him. Heyman responded to the argument by saying that all the superstars who troubled Lesnar were last minute additions to the match. Shelton Benjamin then came from behind and placed Rollins in several German Suplexes.
Seth Rollins defeats Shelton Benjamin – Benjamin explained why he was considered a great wrestler who stood at school with Rollins. Heyman then announced that Lesnar would be at Raw next week. Rollins won the match when he hit "The Stomp" on Benjamin
Bobby Lashley becomes the new intercontinental champion Lio Rush came to the rescue of Bobby Lashley in his match against Finn Balor. The Irishman was still on the ropes during the match and Lashley had always dominated. Lashley won the match after delivering a spear to Balor in full flight.
Ronda Rousey defeats Dana Brooke – Rousey was at Raw to explain his actions at Fastlane. Then Dana Brooke came to ask for a match for the Raw Women's Championship. But Rousey went on to hit Brooke for that he sends a message to the WWE Universe
Aleister Black and Ricochet Beat Bobby Roode and Chad Gable- It was a small action packed game between the two teams. But the newcomers who won the victory when Aleister hit a black mbad on Roode. The Revival then attacked the two NXT superstars from behind.
Batista and Triple H meet each other – After a brief exchange, Batista asked Triple H to give him what he wanted (WrestleMania match). Batista had a hard time convincing Triple H to accept the match, but eventually it happened. Triple H also announced that the match at WrestleMania will be stipulated without reservation. We can expect a lot of carnage at MetLife Stadium now.
Kurt Angle talks about his future. Kurt goes to the ring and makes an announcement about his future. Kurt revealed that he would make a farewell match to WrestleMania 35 and then retire from the competition in the ring. He also said that he wanted to face someone tonight in his home town and asked a wrestler to go out. Apollo Crews answered the call.
Kurt Angle Beats Apollo Crews – It was billed as Kurt Angle's farewell match in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Crew and Angle had a good match on TV with all the signature moves executed. In the end, Kurt managed to win the victory with Angle Slam on Crews.
Drew McIntyre Attacks Roman Reigns- Before his match against Baron Corbin could begin, McIntyre attacked Roman from behind. He continued to beat Roman until he was stopped by the referees. Reigns then showed the effects of his illness, because he had to be badisted by Rollins to go backstage.
McIntyre beats Ambrose in a match "Falls Count Anywhere" – The two superstars clashed around the arena. They used all types of equipment available and fought each other. McIntyre gained the advantage by poking Ambrose's eye with a pencil.
To end the match, McIntyre placed Ambrose's head in a railing and kicked Claymore to win the match.
