Tanishaa Mukerji, Bollywood actress Kajol's sister, claims to have faced racism in New York City during her recent visit to the city.
In New York City to attend CRY America's charity gala dinner, Tanishaa was celebrating with her friends at the Jane Hotel Club when this incident occurred.
Not knowing why this happened, Tanishaa thinks that she was very polite and that she did nothing to call this hate. According to reports, an African-American club employee said that they seemed just out of the boat and did not speak English.
Tanishaa even made a video on Twitter that ended briefly after she was apparently not allowed to continue. Calling this a traumatic experience, Tanishaa is complaining that no one from the hotel authorities has come forward to help her and her friends.
Many users then responded to Tanishaa and some even pointed to their horrific stories of harbadment and abuse by hotel staff.
