Recently, at a chat, Akki revealed why "Waqt" will always be close to his heart and will always remain in his memory. He revealed that while filming, his real father Hari Om Bhatia was suffering from cancer while here, in the film, his father, played by Amitabh Bachchan, was also struggling with this disease deadly. Thus, he had become extremely emotional for Akki to play certain scenes of the film.
When filming the film, he stated that even his father was suffering from cancer and that in the film, Mr. Bachchan's character also had cancer and if we see these scenes they are real. Akki revealed that "Waqt" was a very hard film for him emotionally. There were cases where the scene was over but he could not control his emotions.
Akshay concludes that this connection made the film memorable for him.
Meanwhile, Akshay is currently preparing the release of his next actor, "Kesari", Parineeti Chopra, and will be indoors on March 21st.
