The diva, who was last seen in Indra Kumar's Total Dhamaal is now preparing for the release of his next film, Kalank . The drama of the time takes place in the 40s and was directed by Abhishek Varman. Recently, a new Madhuri message from the movie was published online.
In Kalank the 51-year-old actress will play Bahaar Beghum. The royal avatar of Madhuri can be seen in the recently published poster. She is dressed in a wine velvet kurta with silver embroidery and a dupatta of the same color. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Madhuri wrote: "I feel blessed to play such a mysterious and enchanting character".

Initially, Sridevi was chosen to play Bahaar Beghum in the film, but after his tragic death, Madhuri took the place. Speaking of her role in an interaction with the DNA, Madhuri had already said that it was very different from what she had done in her other films like Devdas where she was playing Chandramukhi. Buzz says the diva will play a courtesan in Kalank .
Apart from Madhuri, the period drama is also performed by Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Kalank was produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
Kalank was originally scheduled to be released on April 19, but will now be on the screen two days earlier, on April 17.
