I wrote what I thought about remakes, reboots, and Hollywood reminiscences. I know there are not many prefixes to use, but is there anyone else that is tired of using "re" too often? Anyway, it is not uncommon for foreign studios to take American movies and edit them, but I never thought that someone would take a movie like Forrest Gump and imagine it again. yes, that's what happens …
Bollywood, the Indian version of Hollywood, launches Aamir Khan ( 3 idiots Dangal of the Earth ) for play the lead role in the reinvention that will be called Lal Singh Chaddha . His greatest success was Dangal which became the most profitable film in the world for India with over 300 million dollars.
Kahn had this to say about the role:
"I've always loved" Forrest Gump "as a script. It's a wonderful story about this character. It's a story that affirms life. It's a good movie. It's a movie for the whole family. "
To be fair, I'm a huge fan of Tom Hanks. I could watch him sitting on a chair for two hours and enjoy it almost every minute. I've also seen my fair share of Bollywood movies. I like to broaden my horizons of entertainment and I have no problem with subtitles, but I do not see how Forrest Gump can really translate into Bollywood film. there are too many American specificities that I am not sure I can translate into Indian experiences. I could be wrong though.
The film should begin shooting in October of this year and come out in 2020.
