Ajay Devgn will play an important role in SS Rajamouli's RRR film starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles.

Initially, it was reported that the Raid actor would attempt a negative role in the movie. However, director Rajamouli said that Ajay would not play an antagonist. As reported by DNA, the character of Ajay looks a lot like a long cameo. A source informed the daily, "Although the film considers Jr Ntr and Ram Charan as Telugu freedom fighters, much of the story will unfold in New Delhi, where the character of Ajay between On stage, apparently, the Bollywood star was strung to play a freedom fighter of that time. The source added that originally, Ajay feared to take back the character, which was not to be long. However, when he heard the director's narration, he was enthusiastic and agreed to play the role.
The actress Alia Bhatt will play the female lead alongside Ram Charan in this multi-starrer. She will start shooting for the film in April.
RRR should be released on July 30, 2020.
