The actors and husband-wife duo of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh won big at the Zee Cine Awards on Tuesday. Deepika won the best actress award for Padmaavat and Ranveer won the Viewers Choice Award for Best Actor for the lead role played by Alauddin Khilji in the same film.
Deepika received awards from film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and her husband. In accepting her award, Deepika told all the characters that Ranveer played with her in their films together. "Let's take it from the top: Ram, Bajirao and Khilji of course. You have been my most extraordinary partner in crime, "she said. Deepika had to give her speech again because Ranveer started dancing in the middle of it.
Ranveer thanked Bhansali in his speech and said that he had made him the actor that he was. "If I'm an actor of any caliber, it's thanks to you. You gave me the greatest opportunities in my life, "he said. He also took on Twitter to share a picture with his prize. "Best actor in a leading role! #zeecineawards #ontopoftheworld, "he wrote.

When his name was called, Ranveer hugged his wife Deepika and gave him hugs. All four were sitting together at the awards ceremony.
Ranveer and Deepika also entertained the audience by recreating their wedding on stage. Ranveer hooked on Deepika's outfit and surrounded Vicky Kaushal with pheras while Kartik Aaryan played the role of priest. Watch their video here:
Ranveer's latest film was Gully Boy with Alia. The film was a hit with the public and received excellent reviews from critics. He will now start work on 83 in which he plays cricket star Kapil Dev. Then he will start shooting for Karan Johar's Takht with Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Deepika started working on her upcoming film with Meghna Gulzar, Chapaak.
