Blocking 8 weeks for digital streaming

Telugu film producers have come up with a new rule for digital streaming. As of April 1st, no film will be released until 8 weeks after its theatrical release. The Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) has imposed this new rule that will apply to all giants of streaming and will apply equally to all films, large or small.

It will come into force on April 1st. At present, all films are broadcast within four weeks of their theatrical release, which is detrimental to successful film collections. Last year, movies like "Rangasthalam" and this year's "F2" suffered a lot as movies were streamed even though they were successfully theatrically screened.
