In the mystery of the murder, the Taapsee character becomes the main suspect after she was found with her boyfriend's corpse and money in a locked room. Amitabh plays a reputable lawyer, who must defend and save her by solving the mystery.

Apparently, the production of Sujoy Ghosh is a remake of the 2016 Spanish film "The Invisible Guest", directed by Oriol Paulo. The film was widely shot in Scotland. It also stars Manav Kaul and Amrita Singh in essential roles. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his Red Chillies Entertainment banner with Azure Entertainment.
