The latest speculation circulating is that Kaappaan could be released on August 30, which will be an extended weekend of 4 days, with Monday, September 2, Vinayakar Chathurthi. An official clarification has yet to be made on this speculation. Kaappaan is also performed by Mohanlal, Arya, Sayyeshaa, Samuthirakani and Boman Irani.
