Tons of hoaxes are constantly circling Twitter, including the recent Bitcoin scam. Today, I want to warn you of a problem that has invaded the platform in recent days: the "hoax of the year of birth".

It's as simple as stupid: it encourages you to go into your settings and change your Year of Birth until 2007, to unlock a colorful stream or a "retro" theme on the site.

Instead, users are stuck on their accounts as soon as they make the change. According to Twitter's policy, you must be 13 years old or older to use the social network. So, as soon as you change your year of birth, Twitter thinks you are only 12 years old and is blocking your account.
