Lakshmi's NTR is finally available on screens (well, everywhere except AP). Unfortunately, the staging of Ram Gopal Varma's performance was far more entertaining than the film itself, which is a veritable yawning festival.
Lakshmi Parvathi (Yagna Shetty) is a fervent bhakt of film legend and NT politician Rama Rao (P Vijay Kumar). She approaches him to write his biography. Lakshmi fills the void in NTR's life, isolated from power and alone after the death of his wife, and the two become increasingly narrow over time. Lakshmi's closeness to NTR is frowned upon by her family and her son-in-law, Chandrababu Naidu (Sritej), approaching her, telling her to keep her distance for the good of the party. NTR does not have any and decides to marry her instead.
Given the biopics of NTR earlier this year, Lakshmi Parvathi's story has been neglected and deserves to be told. But the way it is described in this film is tedious and tedious. The film is unnecessarily dark, excessively melodramatic and full of absurd camera angles that do nothing to improve storytelling. A few minutes after the beginning of the movie, you can not wait for the story to advance. At the moment of the break, it is difficult not to fall asleep.
