What is the film about?
In simpler terms, Suryakantham is a triangular love story featuring a boy, Abhi (Rahul Vijay) and two daughters, Suryakantham (Niharika Konidela) and Pooja (Perlene Bhesania). Who does Abhi choose or does he choose? However, we come to know of this secular conspiracy only too late in the day.

How is Niharika's performance?
As the title suggests, the title of Suryakantham is an exciting film about Niharika Konidela. It's a one-woman show from him, although it may not be his point of view from a narrative point of view.

The real question is: does the law work? Unfortunately, it's a big no. Niharika is the same thing as before, bubbly and sparkling, but also more ferocious and active, but none of that works and it starts to hurt our nerves. This has more to do with how the character is written than the acting game. The latter becomes a problem as we see it more and more in this role. It is shallow and lacks depth.

Realization of Pranith Bramandapally?
Pranith Bramandapally has a very slim predictable story and expects to retain attention through characters and writing. The problem with movies like these, is that they have a very fine line of demarcation to get things right and get it wrong terribly. In the case of Suryakantham, it is the same and very soon.

We are currently in an era of digital media where cinema consumption is as good in the movies as online. The competition is fierce and we also get quality products on the streaming platform. Long before, and the shorts continue to surprise about it. The "online" aspect is mentioned here because Suryakantham looks like an extended short film on the big screen. And it's a problem even on this point.

From fuzzy framing to punchy dialogues and low production values, Suryakantham gives the short film a bad vibe. Few amusing exchanges and a background score constitute the only redemption.

The first half of this story is non-existent. It is a series of sequences cut at random, held together by a soothing background score. The actors and the director do not add anything to their arsenal. It continues until we begin to feel frustrated. The intermission is a disguised breathing.

After interval, we have at least the idea that the whole frame and narrative are drawn as a love triangle where a woman is in the center and calls. However, the lack of engaging scenes and useless comedies added to entertain viewers derailed the debates. We come to the end of the ugly editing that makes life very frustrating.

Overall, Suryakantham is a mature drama featuring a female performer. Unfortunately, poor characterization and execution leave much to be desired. It is easily preventable in cinemas.

Rahul Vijay and Others?
There are only three important people, one of whom is Niharika. The other two are Rahul Vijay and Perlene Bhesania. The first is supposed to be the main male role. He does not have that look and presence, though. Rahul Vijay fails every time the character has to be tough and that he exceeds the ordinary. Perlene Bhsania plays a simpler role in comparison. She does her part well. Of the others, Suhasini shines the most followed by Shivaji Raja.

Music and other departments?
Mark K Robin's music technically saves the film. The background score is correct and helps create an ambiance that will only be spoiled by poor cinematography and editing. Writing is the other aspect that works by parts. The dialogues have a different flavor when it comes to comedy.
