Manju Warrier's Lucifer appears on the screens on March 28. The audience also shares interesting observations about the film. The trust of Raju (Prithviraj) during the shooting of the film and its way of managing it gave us confidence and hope. We engage in every film with the hope and prayer that it becomes a success. But the result depends on the tastes and the attitude of the public. When a film is unreservedly welcomed by the public, it gives us immense pleasure.
What are the things to remember about Lucifer?
Lucifer had many expectations. Everyone is aware of Raju's pbadion, wisdom and technical knowledge of film. The pbadion that he has for cinema is evident in his interviews. We were interested to know how he would put his pbadion and knowledge into his cinema. Also, how would Raju use an actor like Mohanlal. In reality, this was not only about the people of the industry, but also the audience outside the film fraternity. When the film sparked good reviews the first day, it filled our hearts with joy.
Can you tell us more about your first Tamil film Asuran?
I can not say much more about the movie now. We have completed only two annexes. It will take longer to reach the theaters. If I have to comment on Asuran, I will highlight the combination of Vetrimaaran and Dhanush, which is appreciated by the public. The films that they made together were very much appreciated at the national level. It's my colleagues who are more enthusiastic than me about my role in a Vetrimaaran film directed by Dhanush. The Malayalam industry also benefits from this combination. So, I hope the film will be good when I'm part of it.
Vetrimaaran's previous films were based on men-centered themes. In one of his interviews, he mentioned that he was trying to make films that also give importance to women. Asuran is the continuation of these efforts. In this context, what is your opinion about Asuran?
It's a beautiful thought of Vetrimaaran, is not it? They announced the film by including my name in the poster. According to the routine of Tamil cinema, it was enough to say "Dhanush-Asuran". But, when they inscribed my name, I felt that it was also part of the respect they had for the Malayalam cinema.
They discuss our industry with great respect and love during the intervals that we had during our shoot. Starting with Mohanlal and Mammootty, they are watching closely the players of the new generation of our sector. This is certainly because of the respect they have for our industry. From the moment they announced the film, many people even approached me and talked about the importance that I 've given in the movie. These are rare trends. And I consider myself lucky to be part of it
With your debut at Kollywood, your career moves into another phase. Now you are part of multi-movie films like Lucifer, unlike your previous female roles in Saira Banu, how old are you? and Mohanlal. What kind of films do you envision in your progression?
A little earlier, I've also done all kinds of movies. The women-centered films have pbaded between them, that's all. I worked in Ennum Eppozhum and Odiyan with Lalettan and Rani Padmini and Vetta with Rima Kallingal.
The public appreciated independent films like Saira Banu, maybe that's why we remember them. I think I'm lucky that the directors only call me for characters who have a goal or who leave a mark. My character should be important in the movie, and the audience should remember that character even after they leave the movies. I like to make such characters and that's the basis on which I select the characters.

You did a lot of movies with Mohanlal, but none with Mammootty. A little earlier, you also mentioned time and again how much you would like to play with him. Should the public expect such a movie in the near future?
I have not played in many movies with Lalettan. Only seven, I guess. I dream of making a film with Mammookka. I'm waiting for that to happen. I pray that Mammooka will approve and let this project materialize quickly.
What are your future plans?
We recently finished filming for Kunjali Marakkar. The filming of Asuran continues.
