Angelina Jolie is in talks to play Marvel Studios The Eternals in what would be the first adventure of the actor in the world of superheroes.
Details on the film and the role played by Jolie are kept secret, reports Variety .
Created by Jack Kirby in 1976, the story of The Eternals takes place millions of years ago when cosmic beings – known as Celestials – genetically experimented on humans to create overpowered individuals – known as Eternals – with villains Deviants.

The two groups clashed each other throughout history. The Eternals also fought Greek, Roman and Nordic deities before leaving Earth to explore the stars.
Chloe Zhao, whose bar credits include The Rider and . Songs My Brothers Laught Me was roped to achieve The Eternals from a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The film is produced by Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige.

Jolie plays the role of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil a continuation of the fantasy of 1945 Maleficent . The sequel, which will be released on October 18th, will be Jolie's first appearance on the big screen since the relationship drama of 2015 B and the Sea.
