Anyone who follows Bollywood movies and music would have realized how much we had heard only remixes and a reworked version of the most popular songs of the '90s. I guess that honor was also extended to movies. Ajay Devgn offered his fans the trailer of his new film De De Pyaar De for his birthday (April 2) and I'm not sure what I'm feeling about the trailer. What are you asking for again? Players. But the plot and the story are pretty much the brilliant formula of the 90s or early 2000s that has been reformulated. What else? The film played by Ajay, Tabu and by Rakul Preet Singh in essential roles, also includes by Alok Nath .
For those who did not know, the actor was allegedly charged with rape and badual badault by a producer and television producer Vinta Nanda . Not just Vinta, but many other actresses had come to help the producer tell his stories in which Nath had made them uncomfortable with his badually inappropriate behavior. Despite this, the court had given a bond to the actor saying that Vinta may have acted in this way to damage the reputation of the actor.
It's beyond my head that a large-scale film like this one wants to engage an actor on such dubious charges. And finally, I'm not the only one to have noticed it. Immediately after the release of the trailer, Twitter criticized Ajay and the directors of the film for their casting.
Look:
While women continue to be misunderstood, ridiculed and silenced, men accused of badual violence continue to find work. @ajaydevgn @itsBhushanKumar I hope you know that Alok Nath has been charged with rape and that an FIR has been filed. Disgusting to be part of De De Pyar From.

When it comes to naming someone for this role, which makes absolutely necessary to choose a man accused of violence and harbadment by several women? Is it a message that says you do not care? What does it take for artists to support women who call predators?

So are we going to just ignore that then? Cool. #DeDePyaarDeTrailer @IndiaMeToo Photo.twitter.com/ycQiS4bHvF
– Sucharita Tyagi (@ Su4ita) of April 2, 2019 The next film on rape accused Alok Nath is out and earns tons of money for this safe, non-exploitative industry that holds men accountable. https://t.co/4DM9uyJFT8

Launch Alokenath since #DeDePyaarDeTrailer a request, he can not return, it is time to come back like this so easily April 2, 2019
I'll stop the trailer right away. #DeDePyaarDe is already canceled to have ALOK NATH. Are we already bleaching this bastard after all the allegations and his expulsion from CINTAA? Wtf is it happening? @IndiaMeToo https://t.co/Iu4iQejrBr

Super happy to see the upcoming movie Alok Nath, an accused of rape, go out and earn tons of money for this safe and unhelpful industry that holds men accountable. https://t.co/4DM9uyJFT8

Several bald men looking for Sanskari not charged with rape who could have been incarcerated @ ajaydevgn @itsBhushanKumar movie in the place of Alok Nath.
But the pro-rape / anti-women bias is now obvious.– Anoo Bhuyan (@AnooBhu) 2 April 2019
This is what happens when you forgive your fellows as easily as they are forgiven for Alok Nath, the rest of them are crawling and coming out of the woodwork. Well done guys, I hope you are proud. https://t.co/eSyvZIuReQ

At the launch of the trailer, the explanation given was even more disappointing: [19659005] What stopped @itsBhushanKumar to drop him once the allegations were raised? It's incredibly disappointing and a trigger for survivors who will inevitably get the chance to have a trailer and the news. https://t.co/A1eb967wFH

Shame on @ajaydevgn for defending Alok Nath. They could have given him the message after the allegations & FIR. I hate when celebrities say "this is not the right platform to discuss". Questions like this deserved to be discussed on all platforms. #DeDePyaarDeTrailer @IndiaMeToo https://t.co/fA5DGDOczq[19659002CHER-ShaminiMR(@Not_A_Shammer) April 2, 2019
of what the real problem with this is this which is even more scary. When an avant-garde and incredibly talented actor like Rajkummar Rao also issues a tweet on the trailer, you can not help but think that B-town quickly forgot the importance of the #MeToo movement.
Take a look:
Sir, it's totally disgusting. Some women who are not usually part of the nepotism or nepogang group
raise their voices in @IndiaMeToo while you do not even do it. it does not matter, what message will your fans send, is it the celebrity usage ?? I hope you understand. https://t.co/swzRZ7v33W– Gobinda #CSK #Kangana (@gobinda51493549) [2avril2019
It makes me incredibly sad that Bollywood has actually taken no action and has unknowingly presumed that his netizens would make him agree with this particular casting choice. Even if the actor had been chosen before the publication of the charges, did not he have time to recast or at least some sort of disaster management? Why put it in the caravan? Unless this is intended to attract attention by bad publicity. If that was the reason, it certainly works because the trailer has garnered more than 14 million views in a day. Good job, team De Pyaar De . I hope you are proud.
