Director : Robbie Grewal

Note : 2 1/2 [19659002] 19659009] In 1971, Pakistan had two parts of land located around India, West Pakistan and East Pakistan, now called Bangladesh. But before that, the little country asked for its own existence in terms of freedom. India, which was the neighbor of both countries, favored freedom in Bangladesh. And since we belonged exactly between the two, the war started here. John Abraham's "RAW" founded in 1971, is dedicated to all those brave men and soldiers who spend their lives for the country while knowing that no other living soul would be aware of their courage and their sacrifices. [19659009] The Research and Analysis (RAW) section of Shrikant Rai, aka Jackie Shroff, is looking for a man who can easily be part of the crowd, hiding behind anyone. What they find instead is a man who disguises himself as a long-time poet once on stage for a few seconds in the 144-minute film. The usual bank employee who saves the bank from a false theft becomes a mere RAW agent after a few weeks of training.

Romeo is trained to become Akbar Malik, the man who lives in Pakistan and who loves the country enough to give his life.

John Abraham as Romeo Akbar Walter is not easy to watch, the slow and strong presence of the screen has made him wait for him to say a punching line or a punch but it does not come never. You expect RAW to be an action-packed film, as the trailer suggests, but it's more of a dramatic web series that documents events one by one, bringing unnecessary emotions, romantic and culminating more than is necessary.

Mouni Roy in the role of Shraddha Sharma is a tough test, the character and the actress were brought back to the rank of secondary heroine in every film of the 90s. The only woman who is wise and beautiful but who never uses the first two talents. It is only the love interest that gets a single romantic scene in the movie. Jackie Shroff as Shrikant Rai wins in RAW, his character is the only one in the category, while others struggle to keep up.

The film is supposed to be an army made up of one man who never throws a punch and does not save. the country many times. The loud narrative resonates with a dull scenario and a slow storyline, enough for that after every major revelation in the film, the actors discuss what they've just done, what it means and how which will change everything. Between all the patriotic films inside and outside the theater, the quality of the content seems to diminish and the effort must be reduced.

Verdict: Romeo Akhbar Walter needs a new identity, which will have to be more than changes in length. of his beard.
** 1/2 stars
