Ranveer Singh, a Bollywood actor, who recently made phenomenal performances with such films as Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and the newest Gully Boy, is back at work for Kabir Khan's upcoming film "83". The star is now preparing to interpret the role of Kapil Dev in the film that will trace the victory of India at the 1983 World Cup.

Kapil Dev had been captain of the Indian cricket team to victory in 1983. He was also coach of the Indian cricket team between October 1999 and August 2000. The film is directed by Kabir Khan.

Ranveer will be seen in the drama of Karan Johar's period, "Takht". The lead roles will also be performed by Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor. It will be projected on the screens in 2020.
