Shazam !
Director – David F Sandberg
Actor – Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Angel Asher and Jack Dylan Grazer
Note – 4/5
While the Universe extended from DC is finally found, after a quick sprint along the no man's land and a dive into the ocean, he finds himself in a strange situation – emerging, so to speak, from an abusive past, determined to rekindle his pbadion for life.
He continues this journey of rediscovery with Billy Batson, for whom superhero means squat. Billy is a child in foster care, abandoned by a mother for whom he is still looking. He has always fled his house – not for his problems, but for his idea of stability. He does not understand.
Billy is not a pessimist, despite the casual atmosphere he exudes, but his optimism is singular. He believes that his mother is still waiting for him and is still waiting for his presence.

Shazam! is a story of quests. For some, like Billy, these quests are personal – he escapes the foster care system as often as he can to locate his mother, to be dragged. For others, like the wicked Dr. Thaddeus Sivana, they are logical, fueled by years of bitterness towards a cold-hearted father. But for both, these quests are elementary. Without them, they would be lost – more seriously than they already are.
Billy and Thad are similar, so to speak; they have unusual relationships with their parents – Billy with the mother who abandoned her and Thad with the father who wishes it.
It is perhaps because of these similarities that they are summoned to the Rock of Eternity, face to face. facing a dying wizard determined to find his successor. After rejecting a young Thad for not having the decency to badume the role of Shazam !, the wizard resumes his research, choosing Billy a few years later. With no more time to spare and an imminent threat to the horizon, the wizard embodies Billy, the guardian of powers, who manifests himself whenever he pronounces the word "shazam".
Like the wizard, played by Djimon Hounsou, a still active player, under A beautiful wig, the DCEU also seeks some "purity of heart" and "strength in the spirit".
Much of Shazam's success can be attributed to his humor.
These are traits that were unfortunately missing from the series. & # 39; first & # 39; phase 'movies, if that's even the correct terminology to use here. But Shazam! represents one more step in the right direction for the CUSD; It's a film that is visibly moving away from its divisive predecessors, almost like a teenager embarrbaded in public by her parents.
It takes the wizard more than four decades to find his champion. It took four films for the CESD. The Trinity – Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman – had to kneel down for DC to understand that, for better or for worse, audiences are more likely to accept non-confrontational duffets than the film challenge.
Shazam! is an entirely different experience – both in tone and in scope – from previous entries in DCEU, and this includes the highly regarded Wonder Woman and the great success of Aquaman. At the risk of angering fans on both sides, DCEU what Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man: Homecoming were to the world of cinematic wonder – lighter, less angry and really delicious.
Zachary Levi
The film is at its best when he's a superhero, but when he sits down for tough family dinners, when he makes his way through the high school brutes, and most [19659005] In a key scene, Billy's adoptive brother, played by It's Jack Dylan Grazer, educates him on the nuances of the superpowers. By choosing, he says, everyone takes the plane. Nobody chooses invisibility, because it stinks of wickedness. He wants to break these myths. And it turns out that Shazam too !!
You do not need aerial punches or dense words, even if Shazam! has both. You do not need plans for global domination – developed by both villains and studio directors. Sometimes, less is more. You do not need The Rock and Henry Cavill when you get a committed Zachary Levi and a troop of kids stealing the scene.
Under the improbable direction of Swedish filmmaker David F Sandberg, Shazam! is as magical as its title indicates; sincere, full of humor and not weighing in the pride of Batman v Superman and Man of Steel.
