Sanjay Dutt about Madhuri Dixit: "The scene we have together at Kalank was amazing" | Bollywood

Actor Sanjay Dutt will be seen sharing the screen with his co-star of Khalnayak, Madhuri Dixit, after a period of more than 21 years in their next film, Kalank. The teaser of the film gives an overview of the two actors but not in the same frame. However, the actor confirmed that they had a scene together and that his calls, with her, were an "amazing" experience.

When asked how to work with her, Sanjay told DNA with a smile, "Working with her is a pleasure. What is the time frame that we have not met or seen? Two decades, maybe a little more. Madhuri is such a great actor. I did a lot of movies with her – Thanedaar (1990), Saajan (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Mahaanta (1997) … I do not even remember a shot. So working with her again in this scene that we have together at Kalank was amazing.

Calling him a mature actress, he adds, "She has this command as an actor. It's a pleasure to share screen space with her after so many years. So much has happened, people have matured. She presents herself as a mature actor.

Kalank is a complex love story that also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha. Varun plays the role of Zafar in the film. He falls in love with Alia's character, Roop, who eventually gets married to Aditya's character, Dev.

Kalank is also played by Kiara Advani alongside Varun in the First Clbad dance number. The movie's trailer also hinted at another dance number featuring Kriti Sanon. Kunal Kemmu also plays a leading role in the film. The film was directed by Abhishek Varman and is expected to be released on April 17.

Sanjay was last seen in 2018, the film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and contains a lot of movies in his kitty. It will be seen now in Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Shamshera, Arjun Kapoor Starrer Panipat, Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2 and Bhuj: The Pride of India.

Madhuri was recently seen at Total Dhamaal, which broke the 100 Rs crore at the national box office.
