"Prema Katha Chitram 2", with Sumanth Ashwin, Nandita Swetha and Siddhi Idnani, was shown at cinemas this Saturday. Let's see what works and what does not work.
History
The film begins as a history of college campus. Bindu (Siddhi Idnani) begins to like Sudheer Babu (Sumanth Ashwin) and confesses his love to him. She does not know that the guy has a girlfriend named Nandu (Nandita Swetha). When Sudheer refuses her proposal, Bindu almost kills herself. While the hero hopes to lead a happy life with his girlfriend Nandu, he is shocked to know that she is possessed.
The scene takes place on a farm where Nandu scares the hero and his friend every night. Yes, she is possessed.
What is the purpose of the ghost? Will the Sudheer-Nandu duo survive its onslaught? Why does she want to kill Nandu? There is a third character and answers to the mystery are found in a flashback involving him.
Analysis
There is a scene in the film where some female students hit a fat comedian in her belly. Due to the pressure of the punch, the guy releases a series of farts. The girls collapse or run away because of the bad smell of the farts. They literally beg him to leave.
This scene is a metaphor for the fate of the audience watching "Prema Katha Chitram 2". Our audience is like these college kids. The film releases a series of farts (a series of silly scenes). We want to run away and implore the film not to sow terror. But the movie makes fun of us and keeps releasing farts.
Sudheer (the hero) knows that the farm is haunted by a ghost. He invites his friend and makes him suffer. It's like "Why should I only suffer?" Let my friend cry too. After exposing the character of his friend and Vidyullekha Raman at risk, Sudheer said to the climax: "Do not worry about me, leave this place." Seriously?
Nandita Swetha enters the screen as a woman possessed in shorts. She scares a scene, laughs like a naughty student in the next, makes coffee in one scene, laughs wildly in the next. For more than 30 minutes, the scenes literally test the patience of the audience without specifying its bloody purpose.
Everything is almost predictable.
When this is not predictable, the movie becomes too silly to handle. In the second half, there comes a time when the public forgets who Bindu is, who is Chitra, who is Nandu. The story is not told clearly.
If we appreciate the performance of Saptagiri in Prema Katha Chitram, it is that he showed his fear so as to laugh. Here it is totally different. A comedian is not supposed to evoke pity.
The song involving Sumanth Ashwin and Siddhi Idnani is so outdated that a traffic policeman asks the woman if she is ready to sleep with him. Our hero comes to his rescue and the love blossoms in his heart. What a romantic song!
There is a scene where the ghost tries Prabhas Sreenu by showing his belly button. It's stupid and useless. The ghost continues to try something throughout the film: he opens the doors with his eyes. Her penchant for opening doors and doors makes one wonder if she was a "chowkidar" (guardian) during her previous birth.
Performance is below average. Sumanth Ashwin looks uncomfortable with his thoughtful postures. Nandita Swetha tries to repeat its impact E Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada & # 39; but only delivers a wet bitch. Siddhi Idnani and others are forgettable.
Jeevan Babu's music is not good. Cinematography and other departments are so picky.
In summary: "Prema Katha Chitram 2" is a nightmare. It's one of the most stupid and stupid Telugu films made in recent times.
