Aamir, who was last seen at the box office dud Thugs of Hindostan, announced a remake of the Forrest Gump Hindi of Tom Hanks. Entitled Lal Singh Chaddha, the film will be directed by Advait Chandan of the secret superstar.
"My next film is finalized, it's called Lal Singh Chaddha. It is produced jointly by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions. It will be led by Advait Chandan. It's an adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. We bought the rights to Paramount and I play Lal Singh, "Aamir told reporters at his birthday party earlier this year.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, Forrest Gump won six Oscars – including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for Hanks. According to the eponymous novel by Winston Groom dating back to 1986, Forest Gump also portrayed the role of Robin Wright in the life of Forrest Gump, an Alabama man who testifies and influences several 20th century historical events in the USA.
Bandits and director Vijay Krishna Acharya face the weight of blame, said Aamir in an interview: "I think that all the filmmakers I work with all have good intentions. We all want to make good films but sometimes it does not happen. I am a team player. If my director went wrong somewhere, then even myself. I believe in the director and if it went wrong, I also went wrong. There is no problem in accepting this. We will learn from our mistakes. "
Chiranjeevi, which began in 1978, continues to lead the Telugu film industry. He will soon be seen at Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy – a film based on the story of the freedom fighter based in Kurnool, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
