All beginnings of the DC universe, from Man of Steel to Shazam!

Shazam! debuted in first place at the North American box office this weekend, with an opening estimated at $ 53.5 million for a total of $ 56.8 million (including the Thursday night previews).

The film – the seventh entry in the continuity of the film DCEU – – also opened the first international spot with $ 102 million for a total of $ 158.8 million in its debut worldwide.

While Shazam! The lowest opening weekend of any DCEU film, its production would have cost only $ 100 million. And with a CinemaScore "A" from the audience survey and a "new" critical score from Rotten Tomatoes, Shazam! seems ready to stay strong at the box office in the coming weeks.
