Actress Deepika Padukone shared footage of her exercise routine, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health on the occasion of World Health Day Sunday. She can be seen working hard at the gym on the black and white photos
Sharing the photos, she writes, "Happy World Health Day! PS: physical and mental. On one of the pictures, we can see her sitting on the floor and on another, we see her doing a stretching exercise. In the third picture, Deepika works with the rings. She's just wearing a black top and a pair of sport tracks.
Deepika is known for her fit body and is particularly interested in the defense of mental health. In early 2015, the actor came out with his fight against depression. She had said that she needed medical help to cope with the crisis in her life. Addressing Hindustan Times, she said that despite the success of her roles and the commercial success of her films in 2014, she was battling depression and anxiety.

"In early 2014, while I was appreciated for my work, one morning I woke up with a sense of difference. A day earlier, I had fainted from exhaustion; everything was downhill from there. I felt a strange emptiness in my stomach. I thought it was stressful, so I tried to distract myself by focusing on the work and by surrounding people, which helped me for a while. But the persistent feeling has not dissipated. My breath was superficial, I lacked concentration and I often broke down.
In this article, she went on to explain how her mother, Ujjala, noticed that everything was not going well. Together, they met her mother's psychologist friend, Anna Chandy, who concluded that Deepika was suffering from anxiety and depression. Deepika has since managed to fight her and now runs an NGO called Live Love Laugh. She never misses a platform to talk about the issue and encourage others not to hesitate to seek medical help.
After almost a year's break, Deepika went back to work and is busy shooting her next film, Chhapaak, directed by Raazi. director Meghna Gulzar. The film, based on the life of the acid attack victim, Laxmi Aggarwal of Delhi, is also interpreted by Vikrant Mbadey. Earlier this month, Deepika shared the film's first look, which sparked a lot of applause. The actor was recently in Delhi for the shooting of the film.
