After the beginning of the series with a shocking title change (at least for this writer) on Sun. On April 7, it was time for the battle for the lease of SmackDown LIVE . AJ Styles and Randy Orton headed to the ring at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, even as Brock Lesnar was defeated out.

The Viper went to get his finisher OUT OF NOWHERE early. He could not really connect with the RKO, but a manual kick gave him control of the situation.

Orton tried to keep the Phenomenal One to the ground, but AJ resisted it. His strategy was to try to get his submission to the calf crusher.

Then there was a game of chess, Styles wanting to hit the forearm phenomenally, but remembered that Orton had turned. this in an RKO a few Tuesday night back.

As the crowd chanted a light of production, a whim and a superplex ended up creating the aperture the Apex predator needed, and he hit his iconic finisher. But AJ was eliminated in two!

Frustrated, Randy attempted to set up a super-RKO from the first turnbuckle. Styles slip and send his rival crush to the ground. Watching wearily, AJ grabbed his elbow guard and jumped, connecting to a forearm that left the two men annihilated outside the ring.

Orton seemed ready for a phenomenal forearm follow-up, but AJ avoided the RKO counter. The Phenomenal One then declared his teammate when he hit his finisher again.

Whoever built it, SmackDown is the home of Styles.
