All remaining superheroes from the Marvel film universe gathered for a monumental press conference for Avengers: Endgame in Los Angeles on Sunday. From Brie Larson to Robert Downey Jr, all were present for the special promotional event, hosted by actor and filmmaker Jon Favreau.
Favreau started the event with a touching gesture towards all the other MCU characters and actors who could not reach Avengers: Endgame following the Infinite War event from last year. He added that they had left some vacant seats for the characters who lost their lives after Thanos' death.
He drops the stage curtain to reveal the names of Danai Gurira, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Don Cheadle, Marvel Chief Kevin Feige and directors Anthony and Joe Russo. "It's clear that things are looking a little different in the post-war Infinity War Marvel film universe," Favreau said of empty empty seats on the stage. They were then filled by Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Karen Gillian, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo.

Twitter users are moved to see the empty seats. "This is absolutely not funny, my lawyer will be in touch," wrote one of them. "My Sunday was good, then @MarvelStudios gave a press conference leaving half of the empty seats to the dead #Avengers," wrote another.

A fan also explained how the Infinity War and Endgame press conference was organized in the same way, but that the number of people was reduced to half. There are no Tom Holland, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Chadwick Boseman and the rest of the team. Look at the comparison:
The configuration of the " @Avengers : Endgame" The press conference was exactly the same configuration as for " #AvengersInfinityWar "! The empty seats of the " #AvengersEndgame " press conference reflected towards the heroes who were there once, last year; but now they are all empty seats. #Thanos pic.twitter.com/yDhz2zYQEb

At the press conference, stars and filmmakers dodged all spoilers but gave some more fun little things from the movie. Brie Larson revealed that the film would still be special to her as she was shooting before Captain Marvel, making it the first time she was playing the mighty superhero.
Robert Downey Jr. was also interviewed on the scene in Avengers: Infinity War in which he watched Peter Parker turn into dust in his arms. Downey had a bizarre answer: "I like lighting this scene. I look so shredded.
Mark Ruffalo said that being part of the press conference was a bittersweet experience for him. According to New York Times reporter Kyle Buchanan, "we all speak as if we are dead." He added that the actors are vagrants and that this franchise "is the closest thing to continuity"
. Avengers: The final is back on theaters on April 26th.
