Complaint filed against a woman who abused Varun Dhawan and threatened suicide | Bollywood

Police recorded an unidentifiable complaint (NC) against a woman for mistreating the actor Varun Dhawan and family members and threatened suicide at his home last week. The case was registered under Articles 504 (punishment for intentional insult and with intent to cause a breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

According to police officers from the Santacruz police station, the woman, identified as Archana Dange, reportedly went to the Dhawan residence on Juhu Tara Street on Friday at 9:30 pm "Dange was waiting for the actor in front of his house. On seeing him, she began to launch abuses against her and her family members. She also threatened to physically hurt the actress' friend Natasha Dalal. She also threatened to commit suicide, "said a police officer.

The woman and Dhawan do not know each other, the police added. HT attempted to contact Varun for comments but did not receive a response.

Varun was busy promoting his upcoming film, Kalank, which will be released on April 17. This film is multi starring and will see Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor, alongside Varun, in lead roles. The film was produced by Karan Johar. Kalank's trailer and various songs were well received by fans. The character of Varun in the film called Zafar and he was badociated with Alia, who called Roop in the film.
