A case of injury caused to an old figurine when shooting Salman Khan-starrer 'Dabangg 3' was about to be finalized in the district of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, after which the state government promised to act on Monday.

Madhya Pradesh Minister of Culture Vijaylaxmi Sadho said the necessary measures would be taken against those responsible for this incident.

According to eyewitnesses, the stone figure of the fort located on the banks of the Narmada in Maheshwar town was damaged on Sunday when the filming of the Bollywood film was withdrawn. The fort was built by former Holkar rulers.

Apparently heavy objects hit the statuette and some of it broke, they said.

When asked about the incident, Sadho told Indore that everything that had happened was bad.

"I took notice of the case and addressed instructions to the district tax collector of Khargone, Superintendent of Police and Divisional Magistrate (SDM)," said the minister.

Sadho said that she would visit the site of Fort Maheshwar to take stock of the situation.

Sadho, the MP for Maheshwar, added, "We authorized the filming of" Dabangg 3 "in Maheshwar to showcase the tourist potential of this historic city."

"If something went wrong during the shooting of the film, measures would be taken against the people concerned," added the minister.

A little earlier, the filming of "Dabangg 3" at Maheshwar was mixed up with controversy when photos of a "Shivling" supposedly covered with wooden planks during filming were broadcast on social media .

In a clarification published later, Salman Khan stated that the Shivling was covered to protect the idol and preserve its sanctity.
