The films in DC are currently experiencing a renaissance. The company's last three solo films – Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam – have all been hits. After the failure of the expensive Justice League team, the Warner Bros studio no longer focuses much on the shared universe (unofficially called DC Extended Universe or DCEU).
Many seemingly independent films are getting ready. . Some of them are under development, are under development and others have just been announced.
Here are all of DC's movies that you should look forward to:
Joker
One of the best actors working in Hollywood today, Joaquin Phoenix figures in the original movie of the most iconic villain of pop culture. There is no Batman in the film and its budget is about $ 55 million, which represents a pocket change when it is a movie theater modern superhero that rarely costs less than $ 150 million. Todd Phillips, from the Hangover trilogy, directs and co-wrote the screenplay. The trailer suggests a study of the extremely dark and dark psychological character of an oppressed man, gone insane and become a criminal mastermind, wreaking havoc in the city of Gotham. Joker is released on October 4th.
Birds of Prey (and the fantastic emancipation of One Harley Quinn)
This sounds like a totally weird movie and we are all for it. The incredible Margot Robbie is at the top of a movie poster that looks nothing like the Birds of Prey as we know it. There may or may not be a Suicide Squad connection (we hope this is not the case), but it really looks crazy. The film is released February 7, 2020.
Wonder Woman 1984
Gal Gadot returns to the skin of the Princess of Themyscira in the eighties of the huge success of Wonder Woman, and strangely Steve Trevor of Chris Pine is back. Patty Jenkins also directs this one and Kristen Wiig plays Cheetah, the archillane of Wonder Woman. Pedro Pascal plays an undisclosed role and we are eager to find out. Robin Wright will also be seen in the flashbacks under the name of Antiope. The release of Wonder Woman 1984 took place on June 5, 2020.
The Batman
Matt Revees, known for the last two Planet of the Apes movies, scripted and directed this film on one of the super the most beloved heroes in the world. This is a young crusader in the cloak, notice, and Ben Affleck is officially out. There is no casting news yet and the plot is too secretive. Reeves said his film would focus on Batman's detective abilities that were ignored in the movies. The Batman band will be released on June 25, 2021.
The Suicide Squad
James Gunn's Suicide Squad is the successor to David Ayer's 2016 film, Suicide Squad, and not a sequel. It looks like there will be a whole new cast of characters in the movie and only Viola Davis (for now) will be part of the cast as Amanda Waller. The wonderful Idris Elba is at the head of the cast and we are curious to see how it all goes. The Suicide Squad is available on August 6, 2021.
Aquaman 2
James Wan's Aquaman is DC's most successful film to date. It is therefore obvious that there will be a sequel. Jason Momoa will resume his role and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Black Manta will be at least one of the villains. Aquaman 2 will be available on December 16, 2022.
The Flash
This Ezra Miller movie has no release date yet. His production was delayed due to his participation in Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald as Credence Barebone. There is also a conflict between Ezra and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The first wants a darker interpretation of the character, while the developers of Game Night seek a comic interpretation.
New Gods
Selma director Ava DuVernay is currently shooting a film about this famous property of Jack Kirby. he did it anywhere, whether DC or Marvel. New Gods also offered DC one of his biggest villains, Darkseid. There is no information on this film for quite some time, so we badume that it is still in the script phase.
Green Lanter Corps
Geoff Johns, author of comic books, is closely badociated with this film which apparently will have a team between two Green Lanterns. It is described as a deadly weapon in space. Whatever it is, we hope this film has nothing to do with this Ryan Reynolds movie in 2011.
Blackhawks
Quite obscure property of DC, he nevertheless managed to spark the interest of none other than Steven Spielberg. He produces at least this project.
Batgirl
Christina Hodson, Transformers Transformers writer Bumblebee, writes the screenplay for this film. We know nothing but that.
