Avengers: Infinity War was revolutionary in many ways. Literally one of the biggest films of the twenty-first century thanks to its huge cast, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film was epic, covering the cosmos while it was following Thanos' quest to complete his stamp collection .
But an important element was missing in the Russo film: Avengers: Endgame to redress the situation.
The new film must give priority to his characters.

The War of Infinity takes the blockbuster action to another level: Iron Man, Spider-Man , Doctor Strange and the Guardians of the Galaxy attack Thanos at Titan in a merciless war with a foreign army in Wakanda.
It also sounded our head with the end of this cliffhanger. You know, the one where all of your favorite characters collapsed after Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half the population of the universe.

In reality, the movie did not look like nothing like what we had seen before, but it did not really give us the character moments and complicated relationships that made the MCU's strength.
The action – as great as it is – escaped the time that our heroes had to go out and talk to each other. Most of the quieter moments were by necessity devoted to the exhibition, defin The plan of Thanos and how our heroes might stop it rather than explore their personal interest in its downfall.
We do not say that Infinity War was completely lacking in character. Thanos and Gamora had their share of interactions (albeit ominous), and Scarlet Witch and Vision had his romantic scenes.
But it has rarely been about superficial jokes. Thor (whose personality had strangely regressed to the Ducati since Ragnarok ) had called Rocket a rabbit a few times, but has he ever gone further than that? And the long-awaited emotional reunion between Captain America and Iron Man was delayed until Endgame .
For us, one of the best films of the MCU was another entry of the Russo brothers, Captain America: Civil War . In this film, all the action and drama stemmed directly from the relationship between the Avengers, taking advantage of everything that had built up over the years. Ryan Coogler's Black Panther also understood it implicitly, even removing his star from the board for half an hour to allow the rest of the cast to interact.
The strength of these relationships – it's not the special effects or the bad guys who whirl around in the mustache – is probably the MCU's ace in the hole.
It is essential that Endgame bring back the MCU to these personal interactions. The Avengers are facing a desperate mission to undo Thanos's decimation of Thanos, but the movie must stop and examine their relationships with each other, as Marvel has already done so effectively in the past.

Fortunately – for us, if they are not the heroes of Marvel – the film will begin with a greatly reduced cast (although still huge, unlike standards other than MCU ), which will give a better chance to the survivors of Infinity War to interact with each other rather than exchange blows with forgettable Thanos children. And the trailers gave us a glimpse of the team that was hanging out in their headquarters.
Add to that a three-hour film and the promise that Tony and Steve will finally catch up, and it seems that Endgame One can not help being a plot focused on characters like Infinity War .
We simply hope that Marvel recognizes his own strengths and does not bury the development and interaction of characters in an attempt to create End of Part same larger than all that preceded. Sometimes the biggest blowout of CGI can not beat a simple conversation between super-friends.
Avengers: Endgame will appear on April 25 in the United Kingdom and April 26 in the United States.
