The countdown to the L2 student trailer finally began, with manufacturers having released a new movie poster featuring the new Tara Sutaria. The actress debuts in Bollywood with the film in front of Tiger, whose posters were shared online the day before.

While many liked Tara's look on social media, others wondered how it could be worn at a school or even a college. "That's exactly the uniform of my school," joked one of the confreres, while another asked which school allowed this kind of uniform. "It would be forbidden for me to enter the premises of my college with these clothes. I mean there is a decorum, "reads a comment.

A day before, officials had shared a poster depicting a girl walking on a boy's foot without revealing her face; if this girl is Tara still has to be revealed.

Manufacturers also published a new Tiger poster showing several insights into his training. One sees the actor in an athletic posture at the center with blurry images of him running, weightlifting and boxing. Another of his posters represents him standing in front of his college door while holding a backpack.

The SOTY 2 cast also appeared on Karan Johar's stand, Koffee With Karan. Tara had said in the series that she did not feel alien to the area and that people were very kind to her. She also said that she was more reserved and shy in nature and had trouble feeling comfortable at parties.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, the film also marks the Bollywood debut of actor Chunky Panday's daughter, Ananya Panday. SOTY 2 is the sequel to the successful student film of the year 2012 that marked the beginning of the film actors Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood.
