Kartik and Sara were shooting for the upcoming film by Imtiaz Ali, who is following his 2009 hit, Love Aaj Kal, in Delhi. After pictures and videos were released sets, they went on social media to officially announce that they had signed the film, which still had no title.
There were rumors that Saif Ali Khan would share the space of his screen with his daughter Sara. but he refuted the reports. "Honestly, I would like to play all the roles as long as it is interesting enough and if time permits.Although Imtiaz was very kind to offer me a role in the following of Aaj Kal Love, I am I did not sign the film contrary to the rumors, "he told IANS in a statement.
The film also stars Randeep Hooda in a central role. Presented by Jio Studios, Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan, Imtiaz Ali and Window Seat Films from Reliance Entertainment, it is expected to be released on theaters on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2020).
