Where we want to go next in a galaxy far away …
By IGN Staff
Since his strange revelation at E3 2018, we have heard very little of the future of Respawn Jedi: Order fallen – until earlier this week. We know we'll have more details this weekend at Star Wars Celebration, but meanwhile we're here at IGN thinking about what we'd like to see coming out of the next game that's going to be in the universe from Star Wars. [19659005] Enabling Gameplay
Respawn directed Titanfall, a series on the fight against giant robotic goliaths. Star Wars has its share of walkers, beasts and monsters oversized, terrifying or totally absurd. Give us a few levels where we'll be able to ride Rancor from Return of the Jedi, AT-ST stroller walkers from Empire Strikes Back, or Reeks, Nexus and Acklays from this ridiculous gladiator pit scene filled with monsters in Attack of the Clones.
It would be incredibly fun to go through a lot of these things or cause damage to a vehicle throughout the reporting campaign. This would help this new game to stand out from the other series of Star Wars, Battlefront, fun but fairly fair. tame the shooters who do not let you ride on Reeks, Nexus and Acklays.
Oh, and I want a Tauntaun that I can name and keep as a pet and whistle like my horse in Breath of the Wild.
– Brian Altano, Producer and Animator
I would obviously like an incredible campaign experience in the Star Wars universe, like many others, but I would love that Respawn gives me a another multiplayer experience that I just can not interrupt. The movement, mechanics and tactile feel of their newest game, Apex Legends, have seduced me.
-CJ Gibson, Senior Producer
I would really like to see Jedi fall regularly, but as if nothing had happened. banana peels.
Regarding my true answer, I would like role-playing mechanisms that would greatly support your growth as a powerful Jedi. They experimented with this in Star Wars: The Old Republic, but you never had the impression of becoming a Jedi or Sith warrior organically. It would be amazing to see a system similar to the original Mbad Effect in which your choices will affect the end result of the story and your progression as a hero or anti-hero if you decide to start from the dark side!
– Destiny Legarie, Senior Devices Producer
I Want AWESOME Jedi and Sith Moves! We had great games to celebrate the Jedi / Sith mechanisms, but it would be so cool to feel the opportunity that the Jedi have to offer. Let me gradually master my skills and learn new ones at the God of War. Let me invest experience in these movements and hit, choke, force push and deceive minds as my heart wishes!
– Brandon Hunt, Branded Social Producer
All I want from all my heart, it's a spiritual successor to the Jedi Knight series. Nothing would make me happier than fighting a battle arena with lightsabers and forcing powers with the support of Respawn's tight controls and gameplay. Also bring Kyle Katarn, my cowards.
– Justin Vachon, Product Designer
But what's the story?
History, history, history! We've never had a great Star Wars game focused on single-player storytelling since … KOTOR 2, maybe? The Battlefront games were good, but they were not particularly memorable. With Respawn developing this and Stig Asumussen of God of War 3 leading the project, I am optimistic!
– Ryan McCaffrey, Editor-in-Chief
Listen, the sad reality is that what I want in Star Wars is less Jedis and more people of less importance who find their place in this universe gigantic. According to the name, we are going to have magic sword users, so what I hope are characters that contribute to this game significantly without having to use space witchcraft for the make.
– John Borba, Associate Producer
Jedi. Jedi wall to wall. The game begins: Jedi. Complete the tutorial: Jedi. Missions: Jedi. NPCs: Jedi. The only reason I would like to see a character not doing Jedi in Jedi: Fallen Order, is if we make fun of them for not being a Jedi, or maybe Jedi youth if their involvement is exclusively focused on training them to become Jedi.
– Ryan Duncan, Video Project Manager
This may never happen, but I'd like to see some references to the larger universe. The characters of Revan and Old Republic already exist in the game Galaxy of Heroes as Legends. It would be great to recognize these characters!
– Mike Mamon, syndication editor
I want to see empathic imperial characters. Battlefront 2 played a little with that, but I want someone who is not evil, who sincerely believes that the order and security provided by the Empire are better than anarchy. . Of course, the rebels would seem to be terrorists for someone who grew up in the comfort of the Empire. I think the Star Wars universe badly needs shades of gray (maybe even some gray Jedi?).
– Ronny Barrier, Producer
Show us something new …
Thank you for letting all characters in this game be original characters. There never seems to be a piece of Star Wars media that does not feature Chewbacca, Luke, R2-D2, C-3PO, and so on. Enough with that! It's a huge galaxy with an expansive timeline. Let this game work alone without constant reminders of the film universe. It's time for old projects to start giving way to new ideas and I'd like to see Respawn create its own story and set in this gigantic world.
– Mark Medina, Associate Producer
extremely well if Fallen Order rarely took us to a planet we saw before. In Star Wars, planets can sometimes feel like playing video games from the 90s. The planet of the desert. The snow planet The forest planet. The big city planet. I love nostalgia as much as the next, but I think I'm tired of running through Tatooine's Mos Eisley or Hoth's base in a video game. I would love to see really extraterrestrial places with species that we have not seen much in movies and other games.
– Brendan Graeber, editor
… but do not play with the Canon
If this game runs between episodes III and IV, we play as a Jedi, there must be a very good reason why we have never heard of this character before. After Star Wars: Rebels and all the rest, it's ridiculous to know how many real Force fighters would walk around while, according to the movies, Yoda and Obi-Wan were the only surviving Jedi.
The more Lucasfilm shoe trolleys are, the less the Star Wars universe becomes authentic. That said, the first line of "Do not Stand Out" lets me hope that Respawn is aware of it. It would be interesting if you were discouraged to use your lightsaber or your Force powers because if you are spotted drop Vader and a squad of Imperial Jedi hunters on the head.

…
I really want to be able to get on a spaceship, jump on a plane and fly to different planets, or maybe just a large amount of space around the planets. Then, if you reach a certain distance from the planet, you automatically switch from the speed of light to the nearest planet towards which you are heading. Let me explore a belt of asteroids crisscrossing caves looking for space worms! It seems like J: FO will be more of an action game and less of No Man's Sky, so it's probably not the game for me, but to dream, a man can … can not ..
– Daniel Ervin, Producer of Branded Content
One of my first memories of the Star Wars game is Xwing and Tie Fighter games. When Star Wars Galaxis was popular, one of the biggest grievances was the lack of flights into space. Then came Jump to Lightspeed, but all the actions provided by the previous XWvTF games were sorely lacking. In the upcoming Star Wars game, I want epic space battles between star-chasing fleets and size and size ships that we previously had in XWvTF games. We need combat simulations again in space.
– Tom Wire, engineer DevOps
Air and space fights in the manner of a maverick squadron. It's been too long since there is no good arcade style game in the Star Wars universe. There was a bit in Battlefront, of course, but it was only a few ships. I want to see something at the same level of 24 players in a Battlefield Air Superiority game. Or, at the very least, some solo missions in an X-Wing / Tie Fighter with a ton of NPC ships flying around you.
– Kevin Lee, Editor-in-Chief
Anything Else?
The lightsabers. 19659007] Many of them.
– Zach Ryan, Director of Game Programming
All I Want to See in Jedi Star Wars: Fallen Order, These are Ewoks. They are fantastic and nobody can do otherwise! The strange series of Ewok in the late 80s were not exactly the stories of Ewok that I was looking for and I think they deserve another chance under the spotlight. Just think how they would be paired with a Porg. Moreover, the Ewoks are not only adorable, but they are also dangerous. Their level of expert deception should be a useful addition to whatever character we play.
– Miranda Sanchez, Editor-in-Chief
I hope the project is actually launched.
