Everybody's Favorite Star Wars Director Reacts To The Rise Of Skywalker Trailer

[ad_1]

If you have not seen my reaction to the trailer for The Rise of Skywalker you're missing out. I had an incredibly real and emotional reaction to the title which is completely different than my reaction to the trailer itself. If you want a good laugh at my expense check it out HERE . Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but there are some opinions that we really care about. I know that many of you feel that Rian Johnson is the greatest Star Wars director since George Lucas's job on Attack of the Clones but believe it or not there are some people that did not love The Last Jedi. Crazy, right? I mean, there's nothing less divisive than The Last Jedi and we should all be hanging on the edge of our head to hear what he has to say about the film that will be trying to match his genius. Well wait no longer:

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT This is just a happy kid. If you need me I'll be spending the rest of the day smiling dreamily. https://t.co/z8evIBbRoA

So, he's happy with it. That makes me feel so much better about my enjoyment of the trailer. However, I am beginning to wonder if my reservations about the title are unfounded. If Rian Johnson is happy with it, then I most certainly should be too

If you've gotten stuck with me to this point, and I hope you did, you'll realize there is a lot of satire in this. However, I am going to be serious from this point forward. Johnson loves what he made with TLJ and that's not a bad thing. You would hope to love your own creations too. There was no doubt that he would be publicly enthused with whatever, but I'm wondering what's going on behind the curtain. Johnson also recently stated he did not care if TLJ was retconned, but I have to think that he'll be a little upset that Disney did not hold the line with the choices they made. We also heard from JJ Abrams that The Rise of Skywalker plans to honor the revelation of Rey's parents' purpose also "to the story."

Asked about whether #TheRiseOfSkywalker will address Rey's parenting, @jjabrams tells @paulafaris that Episode IX will honor Episode VIII, GOAL: "There's more to the story than that," Abrams says. @GMA pic.twitter.com/yP828qCmTg

If you read The Cantina The Rise of Skywalker fixing The Last Jedi . I think there is too much going on, but there is a lot of rumors confirmed by this trailer. Many of those rumors make me believe a lot of Episode VIII will be changed
