On April 13, BTS made history by becoming the very first musical guest of Korean music on Saturday night but they also made an announcement during the show: they will join Halsey to play their last collaboration Billboard Music Awards 2019.
The group will present "Boy With Luv" on stage alongside Halsey, which will serve as an international premiere. (They actually sang and danced through the piece on SNL but Halsey did not participate in the show.)
The news comes at the end of an extremely successful week for BTS, which they only made their debut with SNL but reached a decisive stage in their career Friday, April 12, becoming the first Asian musical act to exceed the 5 billion streams recorded on Spotify.
This year, BTS are nominated for BBMA in the best categories of duo / group performers and social artists.
Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Khalid, Panic! At the nightclub, Sam Smith & Normani and Mariah Carey, winner of the ICON 2019 Award, are already scheduled to perform at the 2019 BBMA, which will air on the MGM Grand Garden Arena's NBC channel in Las Vegas on May 1 at 8pm. ET / PT.
