Update of 15/04/2019: Game of Thrones author, George RR Martin, offers an additional insight into the difference between his latest projected books and the HBO television series.
During an interview with 60 Minutes, he stated that the show, created by David Benioff and DB Weiss, "should run five more seasons" for it to be completely loyal to the # 39; story that he has told for the latest books of A Song of Ice and Fire series, Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
The show will however be very close, thanks to "several days of storytelling conferences" that took place at Martin's in Santa Fe, New Mexico. "I do not think the end of Dan and Dave will be so different from mine because of the conversations we had," he said.
"But they can be on some of the secondary characters, there may be to have great differences, "he explained, stating that" it is impossible to get all the details, all the minor characters, all the secondary characters. "
He joked in saying that people will be fighting on the internet to find out which end is the best, which is certainly the inevitable result of all this.
Original Story: George RR Martin has confirmed that there would be changes and additions at the end of his A Song of Ice and Fire series compared to HBO's Game of Thrones.
In One Piece By Rolling Stone Focusing on GoT Actresses Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, Martin explained how the creators of the series, David Benioff and DB Weiss, had to cope with this story after the last two seasons began to exceed his writing. "I'm so slow with these books," said Martin. "The main points of the end will be the things I told them five or six years ago.
Martin's words suggest that the general ending of Game of Thrones will be similar to the one he planned for his latest novel in the A Dream of Spring series. However, as has been the case throughout the series, there will be significant differences between the two.
Martin recently said that the last season of Game of Thrones could present "significant differences" in his next books. many minor characters [arcs] that they will invent of themselves. "
Although some fans are unhappy with the time it took Martin to finish the sixth book, he's also crazy about not having finished Winds from the winter. Finishing of this novel, Martin refused to make an appearance in season 8.
