A source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror: "Murugadoss was impressed by Prateik in Baaghi 2 and decided to launch it. He plays the son of the antagonist and will play in important scenes with Rajini. After Mumbai, the team travels to Tamil Nadu for the remaining portions. It is interesting to note that Prateik Babbar also played the role of the villain in his latest album Baaghi 2, which was a great box office production. In fact, the actor also plays an antagonist in his upcoming films such as Chhichhore, Power and Abhi Toh Shuru Hui Hai Party.
Prateik also confirmed the news but declined to give details of his role. . He told Mumbai Mirror: "It's my aspiration to share the screen space with a legend such as Rajinikanth sir.
