Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic has been in trouble for some time now. The electoral commission recently banned the release of the film until Lok Sabha's general election ends. After that, the Supreme Court ordered the EC to reconsider its judgment on the suspension and asked the jury to watch the film in its entirety to render any subsequent judgment.

Following this, the trailers and dialogues of the film disappeared from the Internet. causing the manufacturers to be clueless. Producer Ssandip Singh claimed that this was causing further stress to her team and that she would be coming back to court with this case.

He also stated that his digital partners were ready to withdraw because of the difficulties raised on all sides. He called on the Congress, the MNS and other opposition parties to see the film once, then to decide whether there was a propaganda film for the BJP. He even stated that the film was NOT funded by the ruling party to collect additional votes. The film, due out on April 5, was postponed until April 11. After notification from EC, it is difficult to know when the film will finally be released.

For the uninitiated, The Supreme Court Court headed by India's Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi made it clear that the EC had not had the opportunity to watch the film in its entirety and had delivered his verdict on the basis of a short trailer.

The film's producers claimed that EC, stopping the film without looking at it in full, violated their fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression. The next hearing will be held on April 22 and will result in the announcement of the final verdict in this case.
