What's the story?

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, details of a new quarrel for WWE American champion Samoa Joe were discussed.

Apparently, Joe should face nothing more than "The monster among men" Braun Strowman, with the former WWE US title in play, on the RAW brand

Samoa Joe has just won a huge victory over legendary professional wrestler Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 35 – a performance that saw Joe demolish absolutely the legendary Luchador.

However, the WWE recently prompted Joe to fight with Braun Strowman during the episode of SmackDown Live last week, with Strowman apparently taking over the trade.

The Heart of the Problem

The general consensus in the professional wrestling community is: during the WWE's annual editorial, namely Superstar Shake-Up, the mid-card champions of both brands change respectively space in the RAW and SmackDown brands.

In simple terms, if the intercontinental champion is part of RAW, he is drafted at SmackDown; while the American champion who is part of the blue brand will move to RAW.
