The new video, shared by the directors of the film, shows close-ups of Ranveer getting ready and big shots where we can see the whole team working hard for his project. At one point, Ranveer told his team, "Tomorrow, Mr. Kapil is coming, you'd better give the impression that you know how to play cricket," as they burst out laughing. They are also seen practicing cricket. Ranveer also shared the video and wrote: "The incredible unpublished story of India's greatest victory! April 10, 2020 – Good Friday # Relive83 @ 83thefilm @kabirkhankk. "

Before starting his training for the film in January, Ranveer had said," I'm going to coach bowling like Kapil Dev. That will be difficult. I have to tell you the story. I went to Lord's to watch a test match. It rained all day and there was not a single bowlball. In the box, Sachin Tendulkar has arrived. I was lucky to have some time with him. I told him that I make this film and that I play Kapil Dev. I told him that I'm going to do all the homework, that I'm going to have the look and accent everything, but I think the hardest part would be bowling. And he was like – oh, are you going to bowling yourself? He also thinks it will be difficult.

Ranveer Singh is also training with former cricket player Balwinder Singh Sandhu, who played an important role in India's first World Cup victory. "The validation of Sandhu sir is of paramount importance to me. He is happy with my pace of progress. My diet is a combination of skills, workout and fitness. I really like this sport lifestyle, "he said in a statement.

Scheduled for theatrical release on April 10, 2020, the film also stars Jiiva in the roles Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Sahil Khattar in Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil in Sandeep Patil, among others.
