Aquaman released a video Wednesday in which he was shaving his signature beard and mustache, not for a role to come, but to promote recycling and save the planet.

"Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA! I'm going to shave this beast, it's time to change things," he said while subtitling the video, saying goodbye to a look that he wore in several movies.
Discouraging its use and highlighting the perverse effects of plastic, the 39-year-old actor wants to "educate the public that plastic kills our planet".
Momoa wants people to switch to aluminum "recyclable to infinity" and the decision to shave off the beard was made to draw everyone's attention to a new canned water line .
