Here's why Captain America had a small role at the end of the game

For those of us who love Steve Rogers, Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War seemed a little disappointing. Although Cape has certainly had some tough times, like his introduction to the station, he did not have a lot of hustle and bustle. Marvel's screenwriter, Stephen McFeely, is aware that Cape Town and a few other characters have not spent much time in the spotlight and that their fans may be a little annoyed.

As he explained to io9 "When I was talking about [ Infinity War ] I often said that sometimes we gave ourselves permission to tell more stories for a character in Endgame than in Infinity War. I understand why Steve could not be the star of Infinity War .The Guardians now sprinkled, Spider-Man and others had to take priority because their story is over for And yet, Tony, Thor and Thanos stole the show in Infinity War and no one expects any of them to be dismissed or placed back in Endgame So the question is: "Did Steve really have to take the back seat in this movie?"

There is a lot to explore with Steve in his later existence. Steve is struggling to find a good arc of character in the MCU. In The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier he gets an excellent history of morality and tries to be a good man. In The Avengers and Age of Ultron it's a good two shoes that likes to follow the rules. I do not even know what was going on with Civil War but it's my least favorite characterization of Steve at one kilometer.

In in Infinity War … he is tired. That's about all I can find for this movie.

As I said above, I understand why Steve could not be the star of Infinity War but if Tony, Thor and Thanos had enough story to play in two roles the Avengers, then they would have certainly given Steve a real arc of character, instead of keeping all his role for his final bow.
