Shah Rukh Khan closed the Beijing International Film Festival in China on the evening of Saturday April 20th. The actor, whose film was shown at the Indian box office, would have been well received by the Chinese public. Ramesh Bala, a trade badyst, tweeted: "With the changes made to the original version, the film received a good response from the Chinese public."
Before the film was shown to the public, in a video shared by a fan page, Shah Rukh was asked to present the film. While telling that the film celebrates this uniqueness, SRK hoped that, unlike the Indian audience, the Chinese audience enjoyed watching the movie.
The actor had landed in China on Thursday, April 18th. He received immense love from Chinese fans, whom the actor tweeted: "What a warm and happy welcome here in China from SRK UNIVERSE China. Thank you for the gifts, the flowers and the kisses. I am red everywhere!
At the film festival, King Khan met the Chinese press. He told the Chinese CGTN publication: "Unfortunately, Zero has not been very well received at home in India. Maybe I made the wrong movie, maybe I did not do the right story, so I'm a little suspicious of how it will be received here. I hope people here will like it. "
