Actor Shahid Kapoor shared a new poster of his upcoming film, Kabir Singh, a remake of the hit movie Arjun Reddy in Telugu. Unlike the previous poster, which showed the figure of Shahid in silhouette, the new poster reveals his whole face.
Shahid subtitled the Instagram post with a message stating how long fans have to wait until the movie is released. "Kabir Singh is out in two months," wrote the actor. The new poster shows Shahid with an intense look on his face, dark glbades on his eyes and smoke swirling around him.
The actor plays the role of a surgeon whose life unfolds after a bad breakup. The character ends up in a spiral of drugs and alcohol. The poster shows what appears to be cigarette smoke and white powder around Shahid's face. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Shahid said, "I do not support smoking at all. However, the role required it, as the protagonist used it to channel his anguish and anger. It was not easy and I smoked about 20 cigarettes a day. It would take me almost two hours to take a shower and get rid of odors before I can go home to find my children. "
