What's the story?
That goes without saying, but WWE has confirmed the departure of the superstar Goldust after his demise, announced as being the opponent from Cody Rhodes on AEW's "Double or Nothing" issue

Goldust, also known as Dustin Runnels, is the son of the great Dusty Rhodes and the brother of WWE ex-superstar, Cody Rhodes
He made his debut for the WWF, then, in 1990, as Dustin Rhodes, but eventually went to make his in 1995, the famous gadget "Goldust", very popular. would end up fighting in five separate periods for WWF / WWE and also appear for other promotions li ke TNA and AJPW.
The Heart of the Problem
It is rumored that Goldust's contract would have expired and would be a free agent, but neither he nor the WWE had officially confirmed it.

Now, WWE has quietly, but officially moved Goldust off his list of main players from the website to the alumni section, doubling the confirmation that the superstar has left the society.
It's unfortunate that the WWE could not keep one of its oldest and most experienced superstars, but it's quite logical that it's not the same. to join his brother for his new promotion. Someone with the experience and knowledge of Goldust will certainly prove valuable to AEW.

Goldust is the latest in a long line of superstars who recently left WWE with Luke Harper asking for release and Tye Dillinger. and Hideo Itami getting their release from society.
