As previously stated, it is believed that CM Punk made an appearance Friday night at an indy wrestling show while wearing a mask.
Robbie Fox, of Barstool Sports, wrote the following about punk:
This does not happen regularly, but it has happened three or four times since 2015, I believe. Some of these films were shot for Wrestling Road Diaries 3, but I think the Colt / Punk fallout took place before it was released and the film was cut.

Punk had also stated the following in 2016 about a possible return to the fight:
"It will not be televised, it will be me in a ninja outfit, fighting against one of my friends. "
