Kim Kardashian West, featured on the cover of Vogue's May issue, was recently photographed and filmed in her secluded home in Hidden Hills, California.

In particular, a video from the magazine's "73 Questions" series gave fans an intimate look at the West's family mansion – a rarity considering how she and her husband, Kanye West had previously agreed not to show his home on social media.

When asked how she would describe her home, Kardashian West responded to Vogue: "I would say, for example, a minimalist monastery."

Here is an overview of the purified monochrome space.

The entrance door opens onto a spacious entrance.

Large arched windows at the back let in plenty of natural light.

They decorated the hallway with sculptures resembling stone.

A similar model appears in one of their salons.

A room on the first floor has minimal decor

It's hard to know if it's the main bedroom. Jonathan Van Meter of Vogue described the West's room as "the size of an airplane hangar".

The bed has white blankets and a single headboard.

The interior design of the house is the work of the minimalist Belgian Axel Vervoordt.

There is a 130-inch flat-screen TV embedded in the floor in front of the bed.

Kardashian West published a series of videos that show how he automatically gets up and . in seamless .

There is a book on James Turrell on the bedside table.

West is a recognized fan of James Turrell and even donated $ 10 million to the artist's Roden Crater project earlier this year.

Turrell's work with colorful lights and open spaces seems to have inspired the conceptions of the rapper's new tradition of "Sunday service".

The bedroom leads to a huge bathroom with sinks confusing

The sinks, which do not seem to be drained at first, baffled the Internet.

According to Kardashian West, her husband contributed to the design of functional, but apparently flat sinks: a slight slope and crack to allow water to flow .

There is a mbadive shower behind the rectangular bath.

The back wall of the bathroom, entirely in glbad, overlooks the green patio.

The living rooms are decorated with rounded white chairs and curved white sofas

The walls, floors and ceilings all have a similar shade of white plaster.

The hallways are flooded with warm light.

Kanye West has already tweeted a photo of one of the bright and airy hallways of their home.

He subtitled the following image: "Does this look like a sunken place" with a laughing weeping emoji – referring to the void where blacks are held captive in "Get Out".

There is an unbleached Steinway piano in their living room.

The mansion would have eight homes.

One of the few works of art on display is this sculpture depicting a disjointed male body

The sculpture appears to have been repositioned since West shared pictures of the house last year .

A soft light emanates from subtle and boxy lighting.

Kardashian West also revealed in a video that the switches of the house "are only three small buttons" hanging on the wall, without the traditional box that surrounds them.

She said that she thought the design was "really cool and more appealing ."

The impressively clean kitchen presents a huge island in the center.

A mbadive arch leads to another sitting room.

It has a wall full of stainless appliances.

"[The kitchen] is a surprise for clean, clear surfaces, not a pot or a pan in sight," Van Meter writes in Kardashian West's Vogue.

A breakfast nook is nestled in a corner.

According to Van Meter, the long table "can comfortably accommodate up to 20 people".

There is also a more functional "kitchen staff", less conspicuous.

As Van Meter wrote, the staff kitchen is "the place where the family inevitably ends up spending most of their time."
