Dubai, April 22 (IANS): A famous TV chief and his daughter were among the hundreds of people killed in the coordinated terrorist attacks that devastated Sri Lanka on Sunday, said a friend of the family.

Shantha Mayadunne and Nisanga Mayadunne were killed in the explosion of the Shangri-La hotel in Colombo, one of four attacks that ravaged the capital, reported the Gulf News.

"When I heard the news, I was shocked and shocked, I do not know what else to say," said their friend Radha Fonseca on a daily basis.

Fonseca called Nisanga "brilliant and intelligent". She noted that Shantha was "an inspiring leader for Sri Lankans".

Some 290 people were killed in the bombings targeting Easter Mbad attendees and guests in upscale hotels prized by foreign tourists in addition to the three churches.

his daughter had posted a photo on Facebook a few hours before the bombing, showing his family sitting around a table and smiling while savoring his Easter breakfast.

"Easter breakfast with her family," she wrote, accompanied by a smiling emoji. [19659008] [ad_2]
